Reduction in National Insurance

Yesterday, the Government announced ahead of the Emergency Budget this morning, that National Insurance will be cut by 1.25 % for employers, employees and the self-employed.

Effectively, this is reversing the uplift introduced in April 2022. This cut will take effect from 6 November 2022.

The Health and Social Care Levy of 1.25% due to be introduced from April 2023 will also not go ahead.

We will release an update once the emergency budget has been completed to explain any other key changes you will need to be aware of.

Where we do your payroll, this will all be in hand.
